Gratitude
I found the end of the rainbow.
I drove right through it.
No, there was no pot of gold..
But something much more meaningful.
I had gotten up before five am that morning,
caught the first boat,
and just drove.
Stopped twice for coffee.
Took a small detour to stop off at a place I haven't been in many years;
And allowed this space and solitude to do its work.
The retreat I was heading to began the minute I awoke in the stillness of the early morning.
As I drove,
with my music blaring-
and yes, some emotion was moving,
I missed the exit to my destination.
It didn’t matter;
The rainbow in front of me was calling to me and that’s all that mattered in the moment.
I drove until I literally drove right through the prisms of light and colors…
and then they vanished.
What a deep breath it was to move through the end and find that all was still ok.
And even more beautiful on the other side.
The day was spent with new and old friends…
Good food, laughs, breath work, intention setting and moving out of my comfort zone.
There’s nothing like solitude,
connection,
and letting a rainbow lead you to find gratitude so deeply inside.
I’m ALIVE.
THIS is my gratitude….
And I want to share it with the world.
Go chase rainbows.
And breathe deeply as you move through them.
